Child Safety Standards
Last updated: 4 October 2026
Besito is a dating app for adults aged 18 and over. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page sets out our standards, as required by Google Play for dating and social apps.
Our standards
- Adults only. Everyone must be 18 or older. We ask for date of birth at sign-up and remove any account we believe belongs to a minor.
- Prohibited. Any content, conduct or communication that sexualises, grooms, exploits or endangers a child, including CSAM, sexualised images of minors, attempts to contact or meet minors, and sharing or asking for such material, is strictly prohibited by our Terms of Service.
- Enforcement. Accounts involved in CSAE are permanently banned, and we take steps to stop them from coming back.
- Reporting to authorities. We report CSAM and child exploitation to the relevant authorities, including India's National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) and law enforcement, as required by the POCSO Act, 2012 and the IT Act, 2000. We preserve relevant evidence and cooperate with lawful requests.
- Review. Our team reviews profiles and verification selfies and prioritises any report involving a possible minor or child exploitation.
How to report
- In the app: open the person's profile or your chat with them, tap the menu, choose Report, and pick Looks under 18 (or the reason that fits best). Reports are confidential.
- By email: support@besito.in with the subject "Child safety report".
- To the authorities: report at cybercrime.gov.in or call the national helpline 1930. If a child is in immediate danger, call 112, or Childline on 1098.
